Question from: Amanda Kio, Respite Coordinator, Transitional Living Services serving St. Lawrence County in New York State.

A constant struggle is recruiting enough providers. I am doing research into other areas’ pay rates. Can you provide information regarding the general hourly/day pay rate for respite providers for children with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SEDs) carried out in the provider’s own home, and whether or not mileage is paid for to and from the respite setting?
